"The Paradox of Choice: Why More Is Less."
We're accustomed to thinking, bolstered in part by the theory of rational choice and in part by forty years of research in psychology, that more freedom means more well-being, and more choice means more freedom, so that more choice means more well-being. This is all perfectly reasonable, but false! This talk will illustrate how too much choice can lead to paralysis rather than liberation, to poor decisions, and to dissatisfaction with even good decisions.
